Yes, in fact! My mom loved both Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone as a kid. She bought a coonskin cap at a vintage and antiques store several years ago that looks like one she had as a kid. She loved playing pretend. ...Wait, actually, she still does! Just last night, she and my sister were pretending to be older ladies insulting each other! (When she was in her 20's, she was a retirement housekeeper, and a particular pair of roomates inspired her to make up a mostly-voice character named "Emma".)

And she still half-drives me nuts singing endless variations of the beginning of the Daniel Boone song. When I was a kid, she had me convinced Daniel Boone was everything by how many things she sang. He ceased to be a person.
